I’ve had a life long interest in art, though not always as an active artist but rather as an academic one studying art history. My "hands-on" art education has been fairly recent at the excellent Fine Arts Dept. at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo and an autumn spent on a small island in Denmark in an intensive exposure to painting, sculpture, and mixed media.

Although the subject matter of my work varies, people have always been central to my work. As a painter and printmaker, the human form is infinitely fascinating to me. It is road maps, landscapes, mysteries, pathos, humor, and strength. The printmaking process is as unpredictable and glorious as the human form and to explore both leads to great adventure.
It has been my good fortune to have lived abroad. I was born in Bordeaux, France and was raised in Denmark till the age 14, when my family emigrated to the US. Returning to France when my children were in college, it was my turn to study. My years in Aix-en-Provence not only taught me French, but deepened my knowledge and love for all the aspects of art: architecture, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and the best art work of all –human beings.
