ELIZABETH KILIMNIK
I can honestly say that my earliest ambition was to "be an artist". As an art student at Pasadena City College and CSULB during the 70's I took many classes in drawing, painting, printmaking, weaving, ceramics, sculpture and jewelry. I have lived most of my life in California.
In 1971 I married my best friend. I started a freelance graphics business. Gently used clothing became canvases that I dyed and painted making colorful clothing for my children. Dishes were broken and chipped and these became my mosaic materials as well as pebbles, stones, shells, and toys.
I rediscovered my old love of printmaking. I recently purchased an etching press. I especially want to print colored etchings and linocuts.
